Body Therapy (Pantarei Approach)

The Pantarei approach is a holistic method of body work. Many issues can show up in the body as tension, inner restlessness, or exhaustion. In body therapy, we look together at the places where words alone aren't enough.

What does a session look like?

A session begins seated, with a conversation. Together we look at what is on your mind right now and where you'd like to look today. This becomes the theme of the session: sometimes clearly outlined, sometimes just a feeling that doesn't have a name yet. After that, we work on the treatment table. I accompany you with touch and with words. You stay clothed and decide at any time what feels right and what doesn't.

At the end, you have a few minutes for yourself to sense what has settled.

What we work with:

  • Touch that follows the pace of your body
  • Attention to breath, posture, and tension
  • Words that accompany what you experience instead of interpreting it
  • Alternating movement and pauses
  • Sensing in stillness

Who it's for

Maybe you know this: Your head is full, and your body just kind of goes along. You feel tension, inner restlessness, or exhaustion, and you notice that talking alone isn't enough right now.

Pantarei may be right for you if you

  • want to come out of your head and into your body more
  • mostly experience your body as something that should function, and want to reconnect with it
  • are facing a change or a challenge and are looking for strength and clarity
  • want to let feelings be there without having to explain them right away

You don't need any prior experience or special flexibility.

About the approach

“Panta rhei” means “everything flows.” The Pantarei Approach is a holistic, body-oriented approach. It assumes that our body has a memory and that much of what shapes us shows up in posture, breath, and tension, often long before we find words for it.

The work is not about getting rid of something. It's about perceiving again: Where am I holding on? What wants to loosen? What does it take for something to be allowed to change?

A basic idea of Pantarei is that the answers already lie within you, in your body and in your life. My role is to notice, to listen, to put into words what shows itself, and to encourage you to go your own way. Every accompaniment is therefore different. The goal is that you come closer to yourself and take the lead in your own life.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to wear anything special?

No, but if you like, you can wear comfortable clothing that you can move in easily.

What if a touch is uncomfortable for me?

Then you say so, and we change it. You decide in every moment what happens. I also check in regularly on my own, and we stay in conversation the whole time.

Do I need to have my theme sorted out beforehand?

No. The theme often emerges only in the conversation at the start. It's enough to bring what is here right now.

How many sessions will I need?

That can't honestly be said in advance. Some people come for a few sessions, others over a longer period. After the initial consultation, we look together at what seems sensible.

Curious to try it?

In an initial consultation, we take the time to see together whether it's right for you.
